Crossed the world while it was sleeping...

- I wrote this in-between states of sleeplessness on the plane home at about 4am last week, but I still wanted to share it with you because even now completely rested I stand by everything I said -

So in my last couple of days in Thailand I got to thinking about how important it is to do the things that make you inexcusably and irrevocably happy. I don't know whether it was the sun or the fact that Thailand is just a place of incredible people with incredible smiles which got me thinking, but i'm so glad it did. It was a welcome break from the real world that is dissertation writing and bra fits and a chance to screw my head back on and figure out what in life is important to me. I feel so appreciative that I had this opportunity because it's made me realise that I really do need to work harder to be able to indulge in the things I love.

Being able to close my second trip to Thailand was a dream. Being able to photograph and experience such incredible things and share them with you after is such a blessing. Whether there is 100 people or just 1 person reading my words and my stories, whoever you are I just want you to know that I appreciate your time.

Maybe it's the tiredness or the fact I'm typing this from 37,000 feet above the clouds somewhere over northern Germany, but I felt an overwhelming gravitational pull to write to you.

Love always,
Melissa
